1 Minute Timer
A simple 1 minute countdown. Press Start (or the space bar) and you'll hear an alarm when time is up.
How to use the 1 Minute Timer
- Press Start or the space bar to begin the countdown.
- Pause any time, or add an extra minute with +1 min.
- Use Full screen to make the numbers huge on a phone, TV or projector.
- Open "Style, color & sound" to switch to a shrinking disc or Sand Timer and pick your alarm.
A 1 minute Timer is handy for a one-minute speech, a quick plank, a "minute to win it" game or a short breathing pause. This one runs right in your browser, keeps accurate time even if you switch tabs, and plays a clear sound when it reaches zero.
Need a different length? Type any hours, minutes and seconds into the boxes under the Timer, or save your favorite setup as a preset so it's one tap away next time.

Questions
Will the 1 Minute Timer keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. The Timer is based on the clock, not on screen refreshes, so it stays accurate in the background. Keep the tab open and your device awake to hear the alarm.
Will it make a sound when time is up?
Yes. Pick a sound under "Style, color & sound" and press Test to check your volume. On phones, make sure silent mode is off.
Can I get a notification in another tab?
Yes. Turn on notifications and you will get an alert when the Timer finishes while this page is open in the background.
Does it work offline or as an app?
Yes. TimerBright works offline after your first visit, and you can install it to your home screen or desktop like an app.
